About Dr. Saj Jivraj
An international specialist in Dental Implants
British Native Dr. Saj Jivraj is an award-winning specialist in Implant Dentistry and Cosmetic/Restorative Dental Procedures. He was voted "Best of USA" by his peers in 2007, and has authored over two dozen articles on implant dentistry and restorative dentistry for the British Dental Association.
Dr. Jivraj completed his dental degree at the University of Manchester in England in 1993 and his Advanced Prosthodontic training at the University of Southern California.
He also completed a Masters in Science Education with a specialty in Medical Education at the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California.
He is a former Chairman of Fixed Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. His responsibilities included training tomorrow’s dentists in esthetic and reconstructive procedures. Dr. Jivraj is also the co-author of the book “Treatment Planning in Implant Dentistry”, which is a text used worldwide by dental students, dentists and specialists alike.
Dr. Jivraj is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, Academy of Osseointegration, International Congress of Oral Implantologists and the Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry.
As an internationally-renowned expert on implant dentistry, Dr. Jivraj regularly teaches classes in implant dentistry in the United States and abroad.
Dr. Jivraj lives near Oxnard with his wife and two children.
What is a Prosthodontist?
A prosthodontist is a dentist with several years of specialist training and practice in cosmetic and restorative dental procedures. They complete three additional years of college after dental school in order to refine their skills in placing implants, crowns, dentures, bridges and other treatments to repair missing or broken-down teeth. Many dentists have taken weekend courses to learn cosmetic dental skills, but only Prosthodontists are recognized as specialists in this field by the American Dental Association. Learn more.
